The solving method of age logic problems are given as follow:

**Problem 1:**

Alexander’s father is 50 years. He is 20 years older than twice Alexander’s age. How old is Alexander?

**Solving method ****of given logic problem**:

Alexander’s father age = 50 years.

Alexander’s age twice his father age .

Let assume 2x

2**x** + 20 = 50

2**x** = 50 – 20 = 30

X = 50/2 =25

Answer : Alexander’s age is 25 years.

**Problem 2:**

In sixteen years, Maria will be 8 times as old as she was towel years ago. How old is she now?

**Solving method of given logic problem :**

Assume age now = y

y+16=8(y-12)

y+16=8y-96

7y = 112

y = 16

16 yrs old

## Solving Logic Problems:

**Problem 3;**

**½ of Richard’s age 2 years from now plus 1/3 of his age 3 years ago is 20 years. How old is he now?**

This problem denotes to Richard’s age 2 years in the future and 3 years in the past. So we will take a variable and label everything clearly:

**Solving method of logic problem:**

Present age: R

age 2 years from present: R + 2

age 3 years ago: R – 3

Now we want fractions of these ages:

1/2 of age 2 years from present: (^{ 1}/_{2} )(R + 2) = R/_{2} + 1
